Dr. Mehdi Maerefat

Dr. Mehdi Maerefat holds his Ph.D and M.Sc in thermo-fluid of Mechanical Engineering both from Kyoto University, Japan and B.Sc from Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT). He joined Tarbiat Modares University as Assistant Professor in 1990 and now is full professor.

During these years, Dr. Maerefat assumed the several executive responsibilities in Tarbiat Modares University. For instance: Energy conversion group directory (1990-1993) and Head of school of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (1993-1996). He Also was the head of Kashan University from 1996 until 1998. Dr. Maerefat works widely on energy saving in buildings, thermal comfort, and various topics in heat transfer. So far, he has completed supervision of more than 15 Ph.D and 100 M.Sc theses. He has led a number of research projects in the heat transfer field, and he published one book entitled as "Thermal Comfort" and has contributed more than 120 ISI and 50 Conference papers.
